California law requires swimming pool contractors to provide customers with several disclosure documents, whether for new construction or for repair/replacement contracts. SPEC has produced the required forms which make it easy for home improvement contractors to comply with these state laws.

SPEC prints these forms in large quantities and offers them to pool industry contractors at cost, thus making them more affordable than were contractors to have them printed individually.

In addition to the required consumer protection forms, SPEC also has several additional forms that, while not required, do a great deal to eliminate misunderstandings and also build good customer relations.

Non-members ordering SPEC forms are charged a higher price than dues-paying members, of course. This additional charge compensates for not having paid membership dues which make it possible for SPEC to exist and provide not only the forms for the industry, but the full-time protection against unfair discriminatory government action at all levels in California.
